Week 1 Term 3

Please make sure you have booked your parent/teacher interview times for week 3 of this term. The booking site is open at
 www.schoolinterviews.co.nz/homeHow
The school code is NNBER. The last day for booking interviews is July 25th.

During the holidays Tracy put together out tessellating taniwha pictures. Come and take a look at them in Room 11 and check them out on our Kidzstuff blog
Whilst you are there also have a look at our glittery paua shell pictures that we painted after reading the Maori myth of Tangaroa's Gift.

Look at this paua shell. It is neat.

This week we began our unit on Folk Dancing. Here we are practising the South American folk dance, Carnavalito.

On Friday we had our regular Kowhai good work assembly. Can you spot the 2 Room 11 friends who got Good Work certificates this week?

Friday saw the arrival of the long awaited 100 Days of School celebrations in Room 11. Thank you to Thomas's mum  for putting together these photos montages for us

On this short digital movie you can see some of the work we did related to 100 Days and also some more shots of the celebration we enjoyed together.

  1. So much fun!! 100 days of school - well done Room 11! Thank you so much for inviting Isla and I (Kingston's mum) to your 100 days party, we had a great time and especially loved all your singing. I love the taniwhas on the wall, it looks like a giant puzzle! Looking forward to see all of your wonderful folk dancing as well.
